AVENTURA, Fla. (AP) _ Immersion Corp. (IMMR) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $1.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Aventura, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 3 cents per share.

The touch-based technology company posted revenue of $8 million in the period.
