IMMOBEL AND PROXIMUS REACH A BINDING AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT

OF PROXIMUS' HEADQUARTERS

Immobel and Proximus reach a binding agreement regarding the redevelopment of Proximus' headquarters in Brussels. The overall aim of the redevelopment is to create a sustainable and inspiring digital campus that fosters connections, collaboration, and innovation. At the same time, the project will substantially contribute to the revitalization of the Brussels North area.

Immobel announces that Proximus has decided to collaborate with the Company to design and execute the renovation/redevelopment plans for the Proximus office towers in the Brussels North area. On March 14th binding agreements have been signed allowing the next steps in the project to be taken.

Immobel and Proximus are set to transform the iconic Proximus towers into a green and "campus-like" site that is geared towards collaboration, hybrid working and human interaction. The current towers will be redeveloped, the renovated complex will not only be used by Proximus, but also by other companies and will contain workspaces, residential spaces, public accommodation, retail, etc.

The architects of the project are a team composed of Neutelings Riedijk and Jaspers Eyers. After an architectural competition for the residential part of the mixed-use tower Immobel, Proximus and the Brussels master architect selected additional architects, A2O, MULTIPLE and Koen Van Syngel who joined the design team.

The sustainability ambition of the office project is very high and aims for a BREEAM OUTSTANDING label, a DGNB Platinum label, and a WELL PLATINUM certification.

Revitalizing the Brussels North area

As a true catalysator for the Brussels North area, the new project intends to truly transform the area into a multifunctional urban living and working space with a lively and dynamic buzz 24/7.

"This balanced mix will reinvigorate the neighborhood as a healthy and pleasant place to live and work. The vibrant new site will attract various users, including residents, employees, businesses, retailers, students and more. Together with Proximus, Immobel will be redesigning the buildings in such a way that their mixed nature will stimulate the Brussels North area to become truly alive," says Adel Yahia, Managing Director Immobel Belgium.
