Implenia : Follow-up order for final expansion phase of Giessen site

Implenia impresses with its planning and management expertise and is awarded the contract for the implementation of the final expansion phase of the Giessen site - not least because of its good experience and cooperation in the execution of the previous construction phases.

Following successful collaboration on the previous projects Giessenhof, Giessenturm and Am Giessenplatz, which were completed between 2017 and 2021, Implenia signed the total contractor contract for the next and final expansion phase of the Giessen site in Dübendorf in September.

The new building is the Giessen-Lab, which will be built between 2022 and 2024. On a floor area of 8'900m2 55 apartments are to be built. Due to the direct connection to existing buildings, the limited space and the risk of damage to the existing buildings will present the project team and the construction logistics with particularly great challenges. The contract, worth around CHF 28 million, also includes general planning, specialist civil engineering and master builders services.
