On 4 October 2021, the Brugg south-west bypass was opened to traffic. Almost a year earlier than planned. The bypass will connect the lower Aare Valley with the A1 and A3 national roads and make Brugg/Windisch accessible. Many of Implenia's core competencies, such as road construction, concrete construction, bridge building, repair and the construction of concrete roundabouts, were used here. And with the circular economy applied, the CO2 footprint was minimised, thus making a positive contribution to the environment.

The inauguration ceremony for the major cantonal project took place on 1 October 2021 in the presence of representatives of the canton of Aargau, the city of Brugg, the surrounding municipalities of Hausen, Habsburg and Windisch, and many project participants.

On 2 October 2021, the southern branch of the bypass between the new Bahnpark roundabout and the Hausen feeder road was open to residents and interested parties. A unique opportunity to explore the approximately 1 km long stretch on foot, by skateboard or by bike.
