Incap has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Covid-19 Care Centre in Tumkur, India to ensure medical care for the personnel of the company in case of Covid-19 infection.

'The safety of our employees is of utmost importance for us. The coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing in the state, which has put the medical system under a lot of pressure. We have agreed with the full-fledged Covid-19 Care Centre, which offers high-level medical care, to reserve hospital beds for our employees, if there ever comes a need for it,' said Murthy Munipalli, Managing Director of Incap CMS Pvt Ltd.

Munipalli added that the facility is tied up with a multi-speciality hospital, which has an ICU and ventilator facility. The centre also has insurance facility, while employees at Incap India can avail reimbursement of the medical bill.

Incap's Indian factories with 1200 employees was temporarily closed in May in accordance with the measures adopted by the Karnataka State Government, but was granted permission to resume operations partially to support the manufacturing of critical electronic equipment including applications for healthcare since 24 May. The company will establish full operations as soon as possible, with estimation in June 2021.

'To ensure the safety of our employees, we have employed additional nurses to the factory's medical centre, which offers medical care for our personnel 24/7 and carries out Covid-19 testing of employees,' explained Munipalli.

If the spread of the Covid-19 increases, the company plans to donate 25 oxygen concentrators to the local hospitals for the treatment of low-income patients.
