Incitec Pivot Limited (ASX:IPL) is considering selling or spinning off its Australian fertilisers business in a deal potentially worth $500 million. Incitec Chief Executive Jeanne Johns said, "Now is a logical time to initiate a strategic review, with the business well-positioned to benefit from the emergence of agtech and to leverage its strong platform in the Australian market." Incitec Pivot will assess a possible sale, demerger or further investment of the fertilizers unit, with UBS Group AG (SWX:UBSG) advising on the strategic review.
