On May 13, Tao Yiping and Chen Jinguang, the governor and vice governor of IB, visited Czech president Milos Zeman and his companies who came to attend the 'Belt and Road' Summit.

President Zeman highly praised the strategic conception of 'Belt and Road' and welcomed Chinese enterprises, including banks to invest and exchange ideas in Czech Republic. Accompanied by the Ambassador of Czech Republic to China Bedrich Kopecky, the Czech delegation composed of president adviser and representatives from the general office, department of foreign affairs, vice governor of central bank, tourism bureau and the League of Industry and Transportation had deep communication with the representatives from IB.

The governor Tao Yiping and Czech exchanged their opinions and visions on cooperation in overseas finance, pension finance, private banking, green finance, interbank platform and other sectors, and appreciated his gratitude on the trust and expectation given by Czech Republic on IB.

Located at the center of Europe, the Czech Republic features convenient transportation, powerful industry, great education, outstanding landscape and a great number of world cultural heritage. The initiative and extension of 'Belt and Road' offers a broader platform and space for financial cooperation between two nations.

IB, as a commercial bank headquartered in Shanghai, the core area of the Marine Silk Road, and China's first equator bank, will actively facilitate the financial cooperation with Czech Republic based on the bilateral exchanges.

Before that, IB and Czech Republic already had friendly cooperation in overseas finance. Since 2016, IB, together with the Embassy of Czech Republic in Beijing, has held several culture experience activities named 'Universal Life, Charming Czech' in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and other places, and provided financial services for visitors in Czech Republic.
