Industrial Bank : Receives Fruitful Outcomes in Annual Appraisal of Shanghai Clearing House

Recently, by virtue of its excellent performance in clearing business and underwriting of managed bonds, Industrial Bank (IB) was rated as the 'Outstanding Clearing Member' for three consecutive years by Interbank Clearing Company Limited (referred to as Shanghai Clearing House). It also won 6 prizes including excellent settlement member and excellent award of independent operation and clearing of net bond. 6 business persons were given individual awards due to their outstanding contributions.

Shanghai Clearing House, as an important infrastructure in the financial market system of China, plays an essential role in the development and safe operation of the interbank market. In 2016, the central counterparty clearing and registration and custody settlement business of Shanghai Clearing House witnessed rapid development. The clearing business officially released central counterparty clearing for foreign exchange option and bulk commodity derivatives, and added new products such as Shanghai carbon quota forward, RMB cathode copper swap. The registration and custody settlement business officially released FTZ bond business and provided custody, clearing and settlement for SDR counting bonds, thus boosting the globalization of RMB.

As one of first product-type comprehensive clearing members of Shanghai Clearing House, the Industrial Bank always actively participates in all business activities and continues to deepen bilateral business cooperation. Now it has been qualified for RMB interest rate swap, net debt clearing agent, fund custody bank and other business. Now, IB has become one of the important partners of Shanghai Clearing House and has been rewarded by the business development fund of Shanghai Clearing House for two consecutive years.

In 2016, the amount of net bond trading clearing jointly undertaken by IB and Shanghai Clearing House ranked 1st in the market; the amount of RMB interest rate swap clearing ranked 2nd in the market; the amount of net RMB foreign exchange OTC trade clearing, issuance of credit bonds, underwriting and custody business led the market. Based on our excellent performance, IB was rated as 'Outstanding Clearing Member' for three consecutive years and won 6 prizes including 'Outstanding Settlement Member', 'Excellent Award of Independent Operation and Clearing of Net Bond', 'Excellent Award of Independent Operation and Clearing of Foreign Exchange', 'Excellent Award of Independent Operation and Clearing of Interest Rate Exchange', 'Outstanding Underwriter' and 'Outstanding Issuer'. 6 business persons were given individual awards due to their outstanding contributions.
