Many ING countries have participated in Global Money Week for years. This year is no different, although the pandemic has required some new ideas of how to do that.

The most popular way to contribute is for colleagues to give guest lessons to primary schools classes. That will continue, albeit virtually, in countries including the Netherlands and Spain.

In Luxembourg, colleagues are working with a local entrepreneur who is helping youth to be more entrepreneurial and even start their own companies. In the Czech Republic, colleagues have developed six quizzes and plan to create a digital game in a format similar to 'Who wants to be a millionaire'. And in Romania, colleagues are focusing on giving vocational training to young people and having conversations about money.

Global Money Week (GMW) is an annual global awareness-raising campaign on how important it is for young people to be financially aware from an early age. It promotes gradually learning the right skills, attitudes and behaviours that they need to ultimately be financially healthy.
