ING Groep NV said Friday that it is promoting Chief Information Officer Ron van Kemenade to be its new chief technology officer and that Chief Operations Officer Roel Louwhoff will leave the company as part of a board restructuring.

The Dutch bank said it is separating board roles for operations and technology.

Mr. van Kemenade's appointment will be effective on May 1, while Mr. Louwhoff will leave the company later this year, ING said.
