NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ Ingevity Corporation (NGVT) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $29.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the North Charleston, South Carolina-based company said it had profit of 74 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 78 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 71 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $336 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $118.1 million, or $2.95 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.39 billion.

Ingevity expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.53 billion to $1.6 billion.
