Insource Co., Ltd. announced that the construction of the Insource Kyushu Building in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City is now complete and Kyushu Branch will be relocated. The company has set a long-term environmental goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions from electricity use by 50% by 2030. To achieve this goal, the company constructed the eco-friendly Insource Kyushu Building.

The building uses an air conditioning method that utilizes underground space (cool pit) and total heat exchangers, which is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. When using air conditioning, outside air is taken into a concrete underground space called a cool pit, and pre-cooled air is used in summer. Also, preheated air is used in winter according to the underground temperature.

This allows the use of "cool air in summer and warm air in winter" and reduce s the outdoor air load by about 70%. By recovering the heat in the room that is discarded (or escapes) during exhaust ventilation and returning it to the supplied air, temperature changes due to ventilation can be reduced. This can reduce the cooling and heating load for the entire building by 20-30%.
