Instalco is acquiring the majority of Highcon AB and thereby strengthening its Industrial business area. The company offers leasing and installation of scaffolding structures for the industry.

It has approximately 120 employees, serving customers throughout most of Northern Sweden. The company is domiciled in Härnösand. For the most recent financial year, the Highcon had sales of approximately SEK 325 million.

"With the acquisition of Highcon, we continue pursuing our strategy of growing the Industrial business area. Several of our Instalco companies already collaborate with Highcon and purchase their services. Now, we are creating new opportunities for further collaboration, and together with CEO Daniel McCabe and his team further develop Highcon," says Robin Boheman, CEO at Instalco.

Highcon was established in 2013 and it is well-established in the scaffolding industry today. It has grown to become a leader for various types of scaffolding structures. The company's main focus is on industrial scaffolding and various types of weatherproofing.

"Highcon and its business is an excellent fit with Instalco. We can see that there is much potential for synergies with the other companies in our Industrial business area. Now, we will also be able to offer their customers scaffolding, which is frequently required in many industrial projects. The fact that it is established in the northern part of Sweden is another plus, given the industrial market that exists and are planned there," says Johan Larsson, Business Area Manager for Instalco North.

"With Instalco as a partner, we will in an even better way strengthen our position as a leader in the industry and increase our delivery capacity in connection with the large amount of business opportunities that have been started and planned in Norrland," says Daniel McCabe, CEO of Highcon. Daniel and the Highcon management team will continue in their current positions.

The acquisition is conditional, pending approval from the Swedish Competition Authority.  Instalco will acquire 70 percent of the shares in Highcon AB, and it expects to take possession sometime during March or April.
