Intercontinental Hotels : Crowne Plaza Kearney opens its doors, ushers in the return of Nebraska’s business travel

The new property is conveniently connected to the largest meeting facility between Omaha and Denver

IHG Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of Crowne Plaza Kearney, conveniently attached to the Younes Conference Center and close to many of Nebraska's top attractions. The hotel is centrally located between Omaha and Denver and is the first new-build convention hotel from Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts in the U.S. since 2020. The opening signals excitement for the return of business travel and in-person events to facilitate meaningful connections.

With the 70,000-square-feet of dedicated space for meetings and events at the Younes Conference Center, and the brand's signature Plaza Workspace areas, Crowne Plaza Kearney is the perfect setting for large scale events, weddings, as well as informal meetings and meals. While the meetings and events industry experienced the most uncertainty throughout 2021, there are encouraging signs from planners this year with forecasts showing 58.3 percent of meetings volume will return by the end of 2022. IHG's award-winning Meet with Confidence program was created in 2020 to support the changing needs of meeting planners. A Crowne Plaza Meeting Director is on hand to ensure that any gathering planned at the hotel is seamless from start to finish.
