The key issue of the meeting was the conduct of emergency recovery work after a powerful downpour and a squall wind that hit the regions of the Central Federal District on Sunday and Monday. Eddy currents with a capacity of up to 25 metres per second caused technological disruptions in the operation of the power grid complex. The Tver and Yaroslavl regions became the most affected by the bad weather.

The personnel of the energy companies were mobilized in advance and immediately began emergency recovery work. This made it possible in a short time to return the supply of electricity to all large settlements.

Now 15 branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region are on high alert. Employees of the Companies are completing repairs on power grids, which are complicated by washed-out roads and fallen trees, and also work on individual requests from residents. All events will be held around the clock until the power supply to the regions is fully restored.

'This year breaks all records for the number of weather anomalies. Power engineers at a high level met all the adverse events and promptly reacted to their consequences. In addition, in parallel with the emergency recovery work, the clearing and felling of trees that threaten to fall on the power lines were carried out. This made it possible to significantly increase the reliability of power facilities in the regions and reduce the number of outages,' noted Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region.
