Wet snow has led to disruptions in the operation of power grids in a number of settlements in the region. The most affected were the Yasnogorsky, Leninsky and Schekinsky districts of the Tula region.

Personnel of 'Rosseti Centre and Volga Region - Tulenergo' were put on high alert the night before, after receiving a forecast of unfavourable weather events.

At the moment, a reinforced group of power engineers is operating in the region, additional forces and means have been attracted from other branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. The power supply to residents of the Plavsky district of the Tula region has been restored.

The employees of the energy companies are in constant contact with the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the unified dispatch service, the executive authorities of the region and municipalities.

'The power engineers were mobilized as much as possible and promptly started to eliminate technological violations. The work will be carried out continuously, until the complete restoration of power supply to the residents of the Tula region,' stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
