⁠A snow cyclone hit the territory of the region, accompanied by a temperature drop from minus to plus values. Territories of the Tver region most affected by the bad weather are the Vesyegonsky, Kimrsky, Kashinsky, Kalininsky and Rameshkovsky districts.

Power engineers prepared in advance for the impact of the bad weather. From 10:00 a.m. on 2 January, the Tver branch of Rosseti Centre operated on high alert. At the moment, there are no outages in the main grid.

51 crews of Tverenergo, consisting of 178 personnel, with involvement of 72 specialized vehicles, were involved in emergency recovery work. To speed up the progress of recovery measures, 39 crews and 54 vehicles from other branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region were also brought in. Also, mobile diesel generator sets are used to provide backup power supply to socially significant facilities.

The meteorological and operational situation is constantly monitored, the power engineers are in close cooperation with the Government of the Tver Region, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipal authorities.
