IQVIA Holdings Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 3,438 million compared to USD 2,521 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 286 million compared to USD 62 million a year ago. Net income was USD 175 million compared to net loss of USD 23 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.91 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.12 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.9 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.12 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 6,847 million compared to USD 5,275 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 628 million compared to USD 255 million a year ago. Net income was USD 387 million compared to USD 59 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.02 compared to USD 0.31 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.99 compared to USD 0.3 a year ago.
