The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the nomination of Niels Smedegaard as the new Chair of the Board of Directors for election at the Annual General Meeting of ISS A/S in April 2021. As announced on 7 October 2020, the current Chair of the Board of Directors, Lord Charles Allen of Kensington, will not seek re-election at the 2021 Annual General Meeting at which time he will have served for more than eight years.

Niels Smedegaard is currently chair of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA and a member of various boards including DSV Panalpina A/S and Falck A/S. He has previously been CEO of DFDS A/S from 2007 to 2019 and before that he held various executive positions within the airline catering industry.

Henrik Poulsen, Chair of the ad hoc Chair selection committee, said:
