Qualifications:
I graduated with a BSc Hons (Mining Geology) from the University of the Leicester in 1988 and I obtained an MSc (Eng.) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2015. I am a Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat. 400181/05) registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions and a Fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa (Membership Number 60286). I have practiced my profession continuously since 1988 and I have worked in a number of roles, including mine geology, exploration geology, mineral resource management and as a consultant. I have conducted mineral resource estimates, audits and reviews for a wide range of commodities and styles of mineralization. As a result of my qualifications and experience, I am a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.
Site Inspection:
I visited the property from 8 September 2014 to 11 September 2014, from11 May 2015 to 13 May 2015 and again from 13 to 15 November 2017.
Responsibilities:
I am responsible for Sections 1.10, 1.21 and 1.22, Section 2, Section 3, Section 14, Section 25.1, Section 26.1 and Section 27 of the Technical Report
Independence: I am independent of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. in accordance with the application of Section 1.5 of National Instrument 43-101
Prior Involvement:
I have been working on various aspects of the studies of the project since 2013.
Compliance with NI 43-101:
I have read National Instrument 43-101 and Form 43-101FI and the Technical Report has been prepared in compliance with same.
Disclosure:
As of 14 February 2022, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, the sections of the Technical Report for which I am responsible contain all scientific and technical information that is required to be disclosed to make the Technical Report not misleading.

Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. is a Canada-based mining, development, and exploration company.
