Announcement of Execution of the Exclusive Distribution Agreement for "RELAY Plus Thoracic Stent-Graft" with Terumo Corporation

Japan Lifeline Co., Ltd. ("JLL") today announced that it has concluded an exclusive distribution agreement in Japan with Terumo Corporation ( "Terumo") on August 21, 2017 on "RELAY Plus Thoracic Stent-Graft" for the treatment of thoracic aortic aneurysms, which is manufactured by Bolton Medical, Inc. ("Bolton Medical").

Currently, JLL conducts sales of the RELAY Plus in Japan based on an exclusive distribution agreement with Bolton Medical. Following Terumo's acquisition of Bolton Medical in March this year, the above distribution agreement has been newly concluded between Terumo and JLL. As such, JLL will continue to distribute the product after the expiration of the term of the existing agreement with Bolton Medical, over the period starting from May 2018 through March 2019.

Stent grafts are medical devices designed for percutaneous treatment of the aortic diseases using catheters without performing thoracotomy or laparotomy, and they have become popular as it allows minimally invasive treatment of the aortic diseases. JLL has been promoting treatment using stent grafts in Japan since it has obtained the regulatory approval of RELAY Plus in March 2013 and introduced the device to the Japanese market in May 2013. JLL will continue to strive to meet the diverse needs in clinical practice by making full use of its extensive product lineup in the area of aortic therapy.
