Japan Tobacco Inc.(JT)(TSE:2914) announces today that JT Group has renewed the 'JT Science' website, which introduces the scientific information of JT Group and our Reduced-Risk Products* (RRP) on September 10.

'JT Science'(URL:https://www.jt-science.com/ ) was launched in August 2017 to inform, educate and collaborate with all those interested in learning about the science behind RRP -from consumers to scientists and the regulatory community.

In addition to providing general explanation on RRP and nicotine, 'JT Science' introduces and explains our R&D resources as well as our approach towards R&D. The site includes a document center which archives external publications such as scientific papers and conference presentations that we have published, with updated information as needed.

'We are pleased to announce the renewal of 'JT Science'. Two years have passed since the release of the website, and it has been updated to make it more user-friendly. Specifically, we have changed the structure to make it easier for the audiences to find information by reclassifying existing contents according to related subjects' said Staebe Rene, RRP Communications Manager, JTI. 'Along with this renewal, contents such as interview videos of JT Group researchers and more detailed explanations on risk reduction evaluation methods are added.'

We strive for an open, balanced and fair environment where factual scientific data and assessments are shared in a transparent way. Through this collaboration, we aim to pave the way for the audiences to make their own, fully informed decisions on subjects such as Reduced-risk and regulatory policies.

  • *Reduced-Risk Products are the products with the potential to reduce the risks associated with smoking
