JD com : Health Takes Measures to Ensure Medical Supply During Spring Festival

JD Health has taken a series of measures to ensure the supply chain of drugs and will offer free online consultations after the Chinese government recently called on people to refrain from hometown traveling during the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Feb. 12 this year, due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across China.

'In response to the government's appeal to celebrate the Spring Festival locally, JD will make full use of its supply chain advantages to ensure the supply of pandemic prevention materials,' said JD's Vice President Zeng Chen at a municipal press conference last Friday on pandemic control work. 'JD Health will ensure the sufficient supply of masks, thermometers, handwashing soap, alcohol wipes, and more.'

JD Health will also offer free online consultations for different clinics, including a respiratory clinic and TCM internal medicine clinic, to solve the problem of inconvenient offline medical consultation for residents during the pandemic, added Zeng.

In order to ensure drug delivery efficiency during the Spring Festival holiday, JD Health will continue to take advantage of its logistics capability and work together with third-party institutes to provide people with 24/7 instant drug delivery services. The drug can be delivered within 24 hours and the fastest can be within 30 minutes.

In addition, JD Health will offer door-to-door nucleic acid testing services for 21 cities across China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, and Hangzhou, during the national holiday. The service supports both group and individual reservations.

For customers who opt to be tested at home, results will be issued within 24 hours; and customers who book online and receive testing at a designated site can receive results in as fast as four hours.
