will showcase the new DLEM SR for the first time. It covers a measuring range of more than 1,500 meters with an accuracy of better than one meter and weighs less than 40 grams only.

From September 13 to 16, 2011, Jenoptik will present the new laser rangefinder module and other products of the Defense & Civil Systems division at the Defence & Security Equipment international (DSEi) in London, one of the most important trade fairs of the industry.

The fully eyesafe rangefinder is so compact in size that it fits comfortably behind a business card. It provides reliable measuring results in a range of typically 1,500 meters and high accuracy within the full operating temperature range from -40° and +75° Celsius. A special measuring method ensures accurate readings achieved by low energy laser pulses also under limited visibility conditions, for example during fog, rain or snowfall. At the same time, targets of high reflectivity, for example triple prisms, can also be measured with highest accuracy.

Due to its compact size and excellent measuring characteristics, the laser rangefinder module is easily integrated into hand-held systems for military applications, in particular for optronic reconnaissance devices. The “short range” DLEM SR is currently the most compact member of Jenoptik’s proven series of DLEM diode laser rangefinders of various performance levels for a wide range of military applications, to be showcased next to further products of Jenoptik’s Defense & Civil Systems division at the London trade fair in September.
