Since the beginning of June 2015, Dr. Valentin Loyo-Maldonado is in charge of the Research & Development department in the business unit Lasers of the Jenoptik Lasers & Material Processing division.

Dr. Valentin Loyo has a vast experience in the development of semiconductor and high-power lasers. Since the end of 2014 he was responsible, in the position of a group leader, for the development of diode lasers at Jenoptik. Before that, the Mexican born worked as Vice President Engineering & Manufacturing at Intense Inc. (USA). He takes over the leadership from Dr. Martin Leitner, who left Jenoptik at the end of May.

In his previous positions, Valentin Loyo was responsible, among others, for the product development and test engineering at companies in the USA and the UK. In addition to his comprehensive developmental knowledge, Loyo has gained more than 14 years of leadership and project management experience in multi-cultural teams.

Jenoptik is one of the few suppliers world-wide that provides high-quality and reliable series production of the complete laser beam sources technology chain - from semiconductor materials to diode lasers and solid-state lasers. Jenoptik lasers are very reliable, efficient and powerful. They are mainly used for industry and medical technology.
