Jenoptik exhibits its enhanced product and service range from April 5 to 8 in Amsterdam, in hall 11 at fair stand 11.816, under the motto 'Improving roads, journeys and communities with traffic technology solutions'.

04. April 2016

At Intertraffic, the industry's leading trade fair, in Amsterdam, Jenoptik positions itself as a solution provider for improved traffic technology solutions and presents new products and concepts in the four segments of 'Traffic Law Enforcement', 'Police & Security ANPR', 'Traffic Data Management' as well as 'Traffic Safety Services'.

The highlights on the about 140 square meter fair stand include the latest non-invasive radar or laser measuring devices for traffic law enforcement, such as TraffiStar S350 and TraffiStar SR390. Besides speed and red light monitoring, these products can also be used to detect other infringements, such as prohibited overtaking maneuvers, driving in the wrong direction or driving on lanes that are reserved for special vehicles (such as bus lanes).

For the very first time, Jenoptik is exhibiting the TraffiStar SR390, a compact system on a mast, which can be used for speed and/or red light monitoring and which detects the red light status of the traffic lights via optical recognition. The system also deals with the increasingly complex scenarios at intersections, as it can also monitor other infringements, such as speeding on a green light, infringements when turning right while the lights are red or prohibited U-turns.

In the 'Police & Security ANPR' and 'Traffic Data Management' segment, Jenoptik is presenting the cameras manufactured by the British traffic solutions specialist Vysionics, which Jenoptik successfully integrated into the group after it was acquired at the end of 2014. Together with a powerful back-office software, the VECTOR ANPR and SPECS3 VECTOR cameras are, for example, used to detect and identify wanted vehicles (stolen or uninsured), for automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), access control or travel time information.

The modern VECTOR camera reliably captures license plates over two lanes even in poor weather and lighting conditions, working either as part of an extended ANPR network or as stand-alone units in a compact housing with two high-resolution camera modules and an infrared flash. The cameras are also equipped with a GPS clock, compass, accelerometer sensors and three light sensors.

In the 'Traffic Safety Services' segment, Jenoptik provides services that support the optimal use of the technologies, including advice on operating the systems or back-office support as well as regional service centers for improved proximity to the customer.
