Jindal Steel & Power Limited reported operating results for the month ended October 2021. The company increased its steel production by 7% (year over year) to 0.624 million tonnes in October 2021 compared to 0.585 million tonnes during the same period in the previous year. However, JSPL's Steel Sales observed a 1% (year over year) dip at 0.593 million tonnes in October 2021 (0.6 million tonnes in October 2020). Sales growth lagged production during the month due to lack of rake availability, as the government focused on supplying thermal coal to power plants. Exports accounted for 23% of sales volumes as the Company prioritized domestic demand.
