John Cockerill India Limited informed the appointment of Mr. Augusto Ferro as Sr. Vice President Engineering and Proposals with effect from October 29, 2024. Terms of Appointment: Full Time employment. Mr. Augusto Ferro is a professional passionate and motivate Head of Engineering Department and is graduated with an International Executive Master in Business Administration IEMBA from SDA Bocconi in Milano (January 2023).
After a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Padova in Italy and investing one year working and studying in Dublin, Ireland, he started his career as a mechanical engineer back in Italy in 2009 from the small scale Industry in the design of greenhouse systems. From this experience, he moved to a medium size Italian industry specialized in design and manufacturing of chillers and heat pumps with special attention to efficiency and R&D. After that he joined Danieli in Udine in 2011, where he gained experience in Piping and Instrumentation Engineer to Project Engineer coordinating worldwide steel plant projects from design to procurement, erection and commissioning with a good amount of site and customer exposure worldwide. From 2019 he was posted as Head of Engineering Department for Danieli in India, promoted Assistant Vice President in October 2023, where he coordinated a group currently of 60 Danieli engineers plus more than 30 external engineers from the company's local vendors network. Mr. Rajiv Pathiyil will now take over other responsibility in the Company.
