For two decades, brand consultancy Interbrand has released its list of the Best Global Brands. In 2020, with COVID-19 taking a major toll on businesses of most kinds, criteria for making the list centered around having the leadership, engagement and relevance necessary to guide and retain consumers through turbulent times.
With its constant focus on access and affordability, creating healthier communities, and putting a healthy mind, body and environment within reach of everyone, everywhere, Johnson & Johnson made it onto Interbrand's roster once again this year.

Johnson & Johnson is one of the world's leading producers of healthcare products. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- pharmaceutical products (55.4%): drugs intended for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, oncological diseases, gastro-intestinal illnesses, infectious, immunological, neurological, dermatological diseases, etc.;
- medical products and equipment (28.9%): diagnostic systems, orthopedic and gynecological equipment, surgical materials, etc. for use by healthcare professionals;
