Johnson & Johnson expects to log higher sales in 2021 and a double-digit percentage lift in adjusted profit, the maker of pharmaceuticals and consumer-health products said Tuesday.

New Brunswick, N.J.-based Johnson & Johnson said it expects that sales will grow by 9.5% to 11% year-over-year to between $90.5 billion and $91.7 billion in 2021. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had been forecasting full-year sales of $88.59 billion.

The company said it expected an adjusted profit for the full year of $9.40 to $9.60 a share. Analysts had been estimating an adjusted profit for the year of $8.96 a share. Johnson & Johnson's adjusted profit in 2020 was $8.03 a share.
