The Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe recorded high visitor numbers again this year. In order to ensure the quality for the guests during high season, immediate measures were implemented for the schedule.

Prior to the start of the high season, the Jungfraubahn recorded high visitor numbers. For the individual guests in particular, the return journey from Jungfraujoch shifted more and more towards the evening. This leads to the last trains being noticeably fuller. So in order to ensure quality for all guests, Jungfrau Railways has implemented immediate measures for the timetable.

Additional trains in operation
From 27 June to 23 August 2015, additional trains will be in daily operation on the Jungfrau Railway, Wengernalp Railway (WAB) and Bernese Oberland Railway. During these weeks, the last departure from Jungfraujoch is at 6:15 PM and not 5:45 PM as previously. The connection to Interlaken Ost is guaranteed throughout. The aim of the additional connection is to provide the necessary capacity to ensure standards on the return trip in the evening as well.

Further measures for the 2016 timetable
Next year from 14 May to 4 September 2016, every half hour on the Jungfraujoch - Interlaken Ost route. During this period, the evening timetable also will be additionally extended by half an hour. The last train will depart Jungfraujoch at 6:45 PM. Starting in autumn 2016, the Jungfrau Railway will also provide service during the off season every half hour with foreseeable operation each day until 4:40 PM. The exact departure times will be stated in the 2016 timetable. The quota of 5,000 guests per day is being maintained.
