(22 January 2021 - Hong Kong) - Kaisa Group Holdings Limited ('Kaisa' or the 'Company', SEHK stock code: 1638, together with its subsidiaries, the 'Group'), a property developer established in Shenzhen with a countrywide foothold in China, is pleased to announce its issuance of US$200 million sustainable senior perpetual notes and US$250 million 364-day sustainable senior notes has been named the 'Best Sustainability Bond 2020' in the 'Triple A Sustainable Capital Markets Regional Awards' organized by The Asset, an internationally renowned asset management and investment magazine. Kaisa is the first real estate developer in Asia Pacific to issue sustainable senior notes.

The awards aim to recognize the deals that matter with an eye on sustainability. Evaluation was based on the deal's successful offering (including order book, issued price, level of interest and aftermarket performance) and also in relation to the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDG) addressing issues of climate change, sustainable and green communities, environmental protection, clean water, clean energy, etc. The awardees were selected by a professional judging panel, which makes this award authoritative and widely recognized.

In July 2020, Kaisa formulated a 'Sustainable Finance Framework' (the 'Framework') which is the first of its kind in mainland China's property sector and has obtained the 'Second-Party Opinion' by Sustainalytics, a leading independent provider of Environmental, Social and Governance ('ESG') ratings and research. Furthermore, the world's leading index compilation company MSCI has upgraded the Group's ESG rating from 'B' to 'BB', and Sustainalytics has granted a 'low risk' score of 18.7 to Kaisa.
