Communications (KOSDAQ: 035720) (CEO Sae-hoon Choi) has unveiled the
drastically-enhanced version of SolMail on May 28.
SolMail, which was launched in September 2013, has received rave reviews
from The Next Web, Wandoujia and Gigazine for its multiple-account
function and slick design. Due to its rich features, an Indonesian user
replaced stock apps with SolMail on the customized ROM for Smartfren
Andromax U and a Japanese user included SolMail as a default app on the
customized ROM for kobo touch (called kobodroid).
The newly developed SolMail 2.0 supports conversation view on
multi-accounts and tablet optimized view.
The biggest change in SolMail 2.0 is the conversation view (thread
view). Conversation view is a feature that groups all the relevant
e-mail messages and displays as chat bubbles of messenger. It helps
users to understand the context of the messages sent and received
easier. Using the conversation view, your messages will be summarized
and shown in speech bubbles with the last message displayed in full body.
With conversation view on SolMail 2.0, users can have access to all of
their mail accounts. This is the key differentiator of SolMail 2.0 which
sets it apart from its competitors. Users can read both relative
messages and whole body of e-mails at the same time. All e-mail accounts
such as webmail, corporate and school mails can be displayed through
conversation view. SolMail 2.0 is the first e-mail app to offer these
two features together.
In addition, SolMail 2.0 newly embraces Tablet View, a tablet
optimization feature, to respond to the growing demand of tablets. Other
new offerings of SolMail 2.0 include spam folder in the mailbox and
folder synchronizing feature which enable users to synchronize and
receive alert from selected folders.
With the notification bar, users can reply, mark as read or delete
messages with a single touch. Also, the sync cycle has been shortened to
SolMail 2.0 is now available on Google Play Store.
Meanwhile, SolCalendar and SolGroup, the family app of SolMail have been
receiving positive reviews in the global market for their exceptional
design and simple UI.
