Kakao Pay Securities announced a private placement of 1,747,036 shares at a price of KRW 84,071 for gross proceeds of KRW 146,875,063,556 on December 23, 2021. The transaction will include participation from returning investor Kakao Pay Corp. for 1,048,221 shares.
Post the closing, Kakao Pay Corp. will hold 60% stake in the company. The transaction has been approved by the board of directors of the company.
