The XXIII World Petroleum Congress «Innovative Solutions in Energy» is taking place in Houston (USA) from 5 to 9 December 2021. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a ministerial Session with the National Committee of the World Petroleum Council within the framework of the congress on December 7.

The General Director of KazTransOil JSC Dimash Dossanov participated in the XXIII World Petroleum Congress as a representative of the National Committee of Kazakhstan led by the KAZENERGY Association at the World Petroleum Council. At the ministerial Session, he spoke about developing Kazakhstan's transit potential in terms of oil transportation.

«To ensure the reliable and trouble-free oil transportation KazTransOil JSC introduced SCADA, the system for remote monitoring and control of oil cargo flows. SCADA manages oil cargo flows in all regions of the country directly from Nur-Sultan city», - Dimash Dosanov emphasized.

According to him, KazTransOil JSC applies modern technology in the construction and installation of oil pipelines. One of them is «digital x-ray». As a result of the application of this method, the time taken by experts to form their opinion on the quality of the pipeline welded joints was reduced from 36 to 2 hours.

Within the framework of the XXIII World Petroleum Congress, the General Director of KazTransOil JSC Dimash Dossanov met with TCO General Director Kevin Lyon, Chevron Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mike Wirth, and Chevron Vice President Eimear Bonner. The parties discussed prospects for effective cooperation. For reference:

It transports oil to Kazakhstan refineries and for export in the following directions: Atyrau-Samara section of the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara trunk oil pipeline, transshipment to the «Kazakh-Chinese Pipeline» LLP system (Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline), Aktau port (oil loading into tankers), transshipment to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K JSC system, oil loading into railway tanks at the Shagyr Oil Refinery and the T. Kasymova. The production facilities of «KazTransOil» JSC are located in Mangistau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Turkestan, North Kazakhstan regions, Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.
