Kering's Balenciaga will open a leather-goods factory and training center in Italy next year, it said Wednesday.

Balenciaga, which is among the fastest-growing of the French conglomerate's luxury-goods brands, will open the site in Tuscany next year as part of expansion plans.

The new atelier will create around 300 jobs and will allow Balenciaga to improve efficiency in its supply chain, it said.
