KEY MEDIA NEWSROOM: Key.com/newsroom FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KEY4WOMEN FOUNDER MARIA COYNE OFFERS INSIGHT IN NEW BOOK " WOM EN WHO LEAD - THE 8 ESSENTIAL STRATEGIES SUCCESSFUL WOMEN KNOW"

CLEVELAND - Oct. 10, 2012 - KeyBank executive Maria Coyne is featured in "Women Who Lead - The 8 Essential Strategies Successful Women Know." The book is authored by women leadership experts Sharon Hadary and Laura Henderson.
Coyne, one of 13 women leaders quoted in "How Women Lead", is head of Key's Consumer and Business Banking segment and founder of Key4Women. American Banker magazine consistently lists Coyne in the annual list Top 25 Women to Watch; Coyne is ranked 13th in the 2012 list.
"Sharon and Laura developed a solid platform for women leaders and women who are preparing for leadership," Coyne said. "It is my honor to be included in "How Women Lead," which is a true celebration of the power and perspective of successful women."
Hadary and Henderson wrote "How Women Lead" to give women the confidence to lead like a woman; the knowledge to acquire the professional credentials to advance; the encouragement to invest in their personal well-being; and the charge to be a change agent for other women.
They identified eight strategies that help women achieve their leadership goals by analyzing perspectives provided by Coyne and other women leaders and combining those insights with their personal experiences and extensive research.
"The women leaders we interviewed brought the book alive by sharing their real life experiences and
perspectives," Hadary and Henderson said.
Coyne's insights in the book range from the importance of building several strong layers of networks,
why company financials should be every employee's business to respecting the value of serendipity.
Hadary is the former and founding executive director of the Center for Women's Business Research and a
leader in creating social change. Coyne is a member of the Center' s board. Henderson is an advocate of
women in business and the former and founding CEO of Prospects Associates. She was named The
National Women Business Owner of the Year.
