For the second time the copper giant took part in an international project of the CDP institution. The company has significantly broadened the scope of climate data reported. The CDP Climate 2021 survey for 2020 includes detailed information on, among other things, climate risks, energy consumption data and data on indirect Scope 3 emissions.

CDP is a global environmental organisation, operating an information reporting system that enables companies, cities and regions to measure and manage their environmental impact. With the world's most comprehensive collection of reported data, the global economy views CDP as the gold standard for environmental reporting, so participation in this initiative is vital.

The commitment to the CDP project, the maintenance of the FTSE4Good certification and the ongoing work on the Climate Policy demonstrate the Company's responsibility to the environment and people. In addition, they represent a mobilisation and commitment to an even greater effort to reduce its environmental impact.

The completion of work on the Climate Policy means the prospect of defining, among other things, targets for reducing CO2 emissions. This means that next year, for the first time, the data provided by KGHM to CDP may be subject to a full and detailed classification assessment, which will further underline the Company's efforts to implement best practices and solutions also in the area of communication of environmental, social and corporate activities.

The expansion of the data provided was possible thanks to the effective cooperation of many departments of KGHM and KGHM CUPRUM Sp. z o.o. (CBR), under the coordination of the Investor Relations Department.

The institution-approved version of the 2020 CDP report will soon be available on the corporate website under Investors/ESG.
