KGHM Polska Miedz S A : We are appreciated - KGHM with awards for its annual report and with the "Amber of the Polish Economy"

The copper giant has once again won the prestigious competition of the Institute of Accounting and Taxes "The Best Annual Report" for the best annual report. In turn, during the National Economic Summit in Lublin, KGHM was awarded the "Amber of the Polish Economy 2021″ statuette.

The 2020 Consolidated Report was recognised with the title "The Best of the Best".

"I would like to thank all those who have contributed to this award, which KGHM is receiving once again. I would like to thank first of all the employees - the Reporting, Accounting and Finance Team and all those who collaborated on the preparation of the report", said Agnieszka Sinior, Chief Accountant at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

The Best Annual Report is a competition that promotes annual reports with the highest utility value for shareholders and investors. Companies from all over the country that prepare their consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) take part.

The winner of "The Best Of The Best" is a company which consistently maintains a high level of quality in reporting and communication with the market and which has won the first prize three times in all editions of the competition. KGHM being awarded this title again demonstrates the high standards of the company.

The reporting process at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. takes place on an annual basis. The Consolidated Annual Report includes both financial data and the Statement concerning non-financial information report on employee safety and environmental protection.

Last week, during the 7th National Economic Summit in Lublin, KGHM was awarded the "Amber of the Polish Economy 2021″ statuette. The competition jury recognised the copper giant for realisation of the Company's strategy and very good financial results.

The "Amber of the Polish Economy" award is granted to individuals, companies and institutions for special activities in the field of development and safety of the Polish economy at home and abroad.
