Unionized workers at Kia Motors Corp. in South Korea launched a partial strike Wednesday to press for higher wages and other union demands, the company said.

The four-hour daily walkout disrupted operations at Kia factories in the country, the company said.

The union plans to continue the partial strike for three days until Friday.

Kia shares were 1.0% lower after the industrial action, underperforming the broader market's 0.1% gain.
