Kin Mining NL reported further high-grade assay results from the remaining Reverse Circulation and diamond drilling program at the cornerstone Cardinia Hill deposit, part of its 100%-owned Cardinia Gold Project (CGP), near Leonora in Western Australia. The Cardinia Hill prospect, located 2km east of the centre of the CGP, was discovered in early 2020 and was targeted with an initial shallow RC and diamond drilling program, resulting in the estimation of an Inferred Mineral Resource totalling 1.2Mt at 1.66g/t for 61,000 ounces of gold in December 2020. This announcement reports results from a further 14 drill-holes and 1,561m of drilling, representing the final 30% of the planned resource in-fill and extensional program. The results reported follow the outstanding results reported on 30 March 2021 and 4 May 2021. The Resource extension and definition program, which commenced in February 2021, consisted of approximately 9,100m of Reverse Circulation (RC) and diamond drilling in 58 holes and was designed to extend the Mineral Resource to approximately 200m below surface, extend the deposit along strike to the north and in-fill the near-surface portion of the Mineral Resource to a nominal 25m by 25m spacing as the foundation for an upgrade of the Mineral Resource Estimate and classification. Following completion of the resource definition drilling program, a metallurgical test-work program has commenced by Independent Metallurgical Operations (IMO) on specially drilled metallurgical cores from the deposit. Metallurgical test-work, which is concentrating initially on grinding and leaching performance of sulphide samples, is scheduled to be completed in the September Quarter. As shown in the Long Section in Figure 2 above, the high-grade Southern and Northern Shoots plunge steeply to the north. Completed RC and diamond drill holes show the steeply-dipping Cardinia Hill shear zone to be well developed at depth along this northern plunge direction. Extensional drilling along strike to the north continues to intersect the Cardinia Hill mineralisation with CH21RC168 intersecting 2m at 4.17g/t at 103m down-hole (approximately 90m below surface). This drilling has extended mineralisation along the Cardinia Hill shear zone to more than 900m. Broad zones of mineralisation continue to be returned from the Southern high grade shoot. The felsic porphyries in conjunction with the mafic intrusive (dolerites and lamprophyres) intersected in diamond drilling appear to be the key to the high-grade areas seen at Cardinia Hill. The gravity survey completed in late 2020 is assisting in mapping both of the rock types and structure throughout the Eastern Corridor.
