Five of our own exclusive brand products have been recognised by two of the design industry's leading awards programmes - the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.

At Kingfisher, our design process always starts with a deep understanding of customers and how they live in and improve their homes. These awards are a testament to the work being done, developing award winning solutions in our own exclusive brands creating differentiation, innovation, and value for money for customers.

Developing an industry-leading portfolio of own exclusive product ranges is a key part of the Powered by Kingfisher strategy. These brands now account for 45% of our £13bn annual sales. Our product development organisation has been built over the last few years to capitalise on knowledge, expertise and scale. The design team includes Industrial Designers, Product Engineers and Stylists who develop unique products across our core categories.

David Ackland, Product Design Director at Kingfisher plc, said: "At Kingfisher our purpose is to help make better homes accessible for everyone. We are committed to simplifying our customers' home improvement projects and solving their problems with innovative solutions, only available in our banners. Our focus on the user and identifying where the real challenges lie has meant we have been able to make better and more sustainable products for them, whilst maintaining affordability. This year's recognition inspires us to achieve even more for our customers in future."

The Red Dot award winners include the GoodHome Cam & Dowel jig, Sealant application and tools, the Titan 18V combi drill and Mac Alister 36V mower.
