Kingfisher announced on Monday that it had co-opted Ian McLeod, a retail specialist with over 40 years' experience, to its Board of Directors.

Europe's number one DIY retailer says McLeod's appointment, a Scottish-born executive who has worked for the likes of Asda and Walmart, will take effect on January 20.

The group also informs that Catherine Bradley did not wish to renew her mandate as an independent director beyond the Annual General Meeting scheduled for next June.

The name of her replacement will be communicated in due course, adds the parent company of French retailer Castorama.
