Kinko Optical Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 848.572 million compared to TWD 611.900 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 97.970 million compared to TWD 43.319 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 67.168 million compared to TWD 52.732 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.41 compared to TWD 0.32 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 1,668.386 million compared to TWD 1,191.101 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 154.258 million compared to TWD 124.157 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 107.859 million compared to TWD 89.504 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.66 compared to TWD 0.55 a year ago.
KINKO OPTICAL CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of optical lens modules and components. The Company mainly operates through two business segments, including Asia Operation segment and Domestic Operation segment. The Company primarily provides optical lenses modules and elements. Its products are applied in the manufacture of liquid crystal display (LCD) projectors, digital cameras, mobile phone cameras, televisions, multifunctional machines, digital video cameras and digital monitoring systems, among others. In addition, it is involved in the provision of after-sale technical support services, agent purchase of raw materials and others. The Company distributes its products primarily in Taiwan and other Asian markets.
