LAC Launches KnowBe4's Security Awareness Training Platform

KnowBe4 (NASDAQ: KNBE), the provider of the world's largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform announces today it has signed a reseller agreement with LAC Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Itsuro Nishimoto; hereinafter referred to as "LAC"), a pioneer and the leading cybersecurity company in Japan.

While organizations in Japan have seen an unprecedented spike in cyber attacks, the damage caused by targeted ransomware and social engineering attacks in Japan is also sharply increasing. To protect Japanese organizations from cyber attacks skillfully exploiting people's psychological weaknesses, security awareness training is becoming increasingly important in Japan.

The main purpose of this sales alliance is to meet the ongoing, increasing need for security awareness in Japan and to collaborate against increasing cyber attacks targeting humans by providing KnowBe4's integrated security awareness training and simulated phishing platform as one of LAC's total security services to Japanese customers.

In November 2019, KnowBe4 established a wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary, KnowBe4 Japan LLC, to begin full-scale sales and marketing activities in Japan. Since then, its security awareness training platform, including multilingual security training content in 34 languages, has been successfully accepted in the Japanese market with a large number of sales deals from Japanese global companies. KnowBe4 has been steadily expanding its customer base in Japan. Through the sales partnership with LAC, KnowBe4 expands its reseller network to promote the spread of effective security awareness training offerings to more Japanese companies.

"Japan is a key market for KnowBe4's international business" said Tony Jennings, SVP International and Global Channel Sales, KnowBe4. "Entering into a strategic sales partnership with Japan's security industry leader, LAC, is another major step for us to move forward in the Japanese market. Ransomware and various social engineering attacks are constantly evolving. Security technologies alone cannot defend against security threats at the human layer. We sincerely welcome the launch of our security awareness training platform in the Japanese market by LAC, a pioneer in cybersecurity in Japan."
