There have been some news on the media regarding the efforts for the establishment of a battery production plant by Koç Group and based on such news, our Group Companies have received numerous questions and comments.

As already disclosed by our joint venture Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş. initially on 04.12.2020, the Company is working on the establishment of a battery assembly facility in Kocaeli with a capacity of 130,000 units within the scope of the project-based state aid and the related investment aid provided. Apart from that, no further decisions have been taken for battery investments.

As Koç Group, we follow the developments and trends in the automotive industry closely and evaluate investment opportunities at all times. In case a concrete decision is reached as a result of such assessments, necessary disclosures are made in accordance with Capital Market Board's Communique II-15.1 on Material Events Disclosure.

In this context, there is no development that requires us to make a public disclosure within the framework of the Communique; this disclosure has been made upon the questions we have received from our investors.

This statement has been translated into English for informational purposes. In case of a discrepancy between the Turkish and the English versions of this disclosure statement, the Turkish version shall prevail.
