Koei Tecmo Holdings Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter June 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of ¥7,695 million against ¥6,816 million a year ago. Operating income was ¥1,178 million against ¥690 million a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was ¥1,231 million against ¥2,972 million a year ago. Net income was ¥1,082 million against ¥2,031 million a year ago.
For the year 2016, the company expects net sales of ¥42,000 million, operating income of ¥11,500 million, income before income taxes and minority interests of ¥16,000 million and net income of ¥11,000 million.
KOEI TECMO HOLDINGS CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the entertainment business, the slot and pachinko (SP) business, the amusement facility operation business and the real estate business. The Company has four business segments. The Entertainment segment is engaged in the development and sale of entertainment content products. The SP segment is engaged in the contract development of commercial amusement equipment, as well as the related royalty income business. The Amusement Facility Operation segment is engaged in the operation of game center stores. The Real Estate segment is engaged in the operation and management of real estate. The Company is also engaged in the venture capital business.
