Kohl's receives second-consecutive A- ranking in CDP's annual scorecard.

Kohl's has again been acknowledged as a leading company on climate management during 2020, achieving an A- grade by the CDP and designation to the organization's Leadership Level. This is the second consecutive year Kohl's has been recognized at the CDP's Leadership Level, demonstrating a significant acknowledgement of Kohl's continued commitment to climate action. During 2020, over 9,600 companies responded to the CDP, with 28% of retailers, including Kohl's, reaching the leadership level ranking.

'Over the past several years, Kohl's has sought to prioritize operational efficiencies that not only support environmental solutions, but also positively impact our customers, associates, partners, and the communities we operate in for long-term sustainability,' said Steve Thomas, Kohl's Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. 'We are proud to be recognized as a leader in climate action by the CDP, and a retailer of purpose our customers and associates can feel good about.'

Kohl's Climate Action Goals
CDP assess progress towards environmental stewardship based on comprehensive and detailed disclosures, awareness of climate change issues, management methods, and progress towards action against climate change.Kohl's was acknowledged by CDP, in part, for its continued sustainability efforts and progress towards its formerly announced commitment to climate action. The company's climate action goals are focused on the reduction of greenhouse emissions and increase of renewable energy use.

In addition to the CDP, Kohl's has been recognized for the ninth-consecutive year with ENERGY STAR's Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award and separately ranked as a SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) Top 25 corporate solar energy user. Kohl's continues to seek opportunities to invest in its renewable energy portfolio, including the expansion of EV charging stations, as well as HVAC and LED retrofits in its stores.
