BBVA has once again been included in Fortune magazine's 2021 ranking of the 'world's most admired' companies. It is the only Spanish bank in the megabank category.

Yet another year, the BBVA Group is among the 'world's most admired companies', according to the annual ranking published by Fortune magazine and the consulting firm Korn Ferry. BBVA is part of the megabank category, which includes 16 international institutions, such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Bank of America.
Fortune's list examines different companies from 52 economic sectors, analyzing key aspects of their reputation, including wise use of corporate assets, financial soundness, innovation, the ability to attract and retain talented people, social responsibility and the quality of their products and services.
BBVA especially stood out this year for the quality of management, financial soundness and the quality of its products and services, where it received its highest scores, according to Fortune and Korn Kerry's analysis.
Carlos Casas, BBVA's Global Head of Talent and Culture, indicated that: 'This is a recognition of the professionalism and hard work that the entire BBVA team exhibits on a daily basis - even more so in this especially complex environment. They are the architects of everything we have accomplished. A team guided by a purpose and a set of values that drive our commitment to add value for our customers and society in general. We look to 2021 with great enthusiasm because the recovery after the pandemic will bring new opportunities, and we will be there so that everyone can take advantage of them.'
Meanwhile, Ignacio Bueno, Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry, explained: 'We are proud to see BBVA recognized yet another year as one of the world's most admired companies. Without a doubt, these results are evidence of a very strong reputation in the sector.'
Just like in previous years, participating companies were analyzed by approximately 14,000 executives, directors and analysts, who assessed them on a general basis, as well as compared to their peers in their specific sector. In this year's edition, a total of 680 companies from 30 countries were considered. Fortune and Korn Ferry have conducted this annual reputation ranking since 1997.
