KOSÉ Corporation announced consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2021. For the period, on consolidated basis the company reported net sales of JPY 279,389 million against JPY 327,724 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 13,294 million against JPY 40,231 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 11,986 million or JPY 210.11 per basic share against JPY 26,682 million or JPY 467.76 per basic share a year ago.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis the company reported net sales of JPY 125,943 million against JPY 146,482 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 10,603 million against JPY 4,234 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 25,740 million against JPY 17,180 million a year ago. Basic net income per share was JPY 451.23 against JPY 301.18 a year ago.
KOSE Corporation is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of cosmetic products. The Company operates in two business segments. Make-up segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of products under the brands of KOSE, Sekkisei, ESPRIQUE, COSME DECORTE, Predia, INFINITY, JILLSTUART, ADDICTION, CLIE, ALBION, tarte, among others. Cosmetry segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of products under the brands of Visee, Fasio, ELSIA, softymo, SUNCUT, CLEAR TURN, Stephen Knoll New York, Nature & Co, among others. The Company is also involved in the manufacture and sale of amenity products, the leasing of real estate properties, the manufacture and export of materials, as well as the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) business.
